The BSc Business is an exciting new global focused degree developed by the UCD Quinn School of Business which has a long tradition at the forefront of business and management education in Ireland and internationally.

The UCD BSc in Business degree is an exciting new degree for the Quinn School of Business which has a long tradition at the forefront of business and management education in Ireland and internationally. The BSc Business offers students a programme of modules focused on real-world business skills and intercultural competence vital to graduates looking to work in the business industry of today. Throughout the degree, students will focus on developing business, professional and intercultural skills while gaining strong professional business skills and building a global mindset. At the end of Stage 2, students have the opportunity to complete a year-long paid industry internship extending their degree to four years. In final year, students can choose to specialise in a specific area of business to tailor their expertise according to their interests and career goals. Alternatively, students can choose to keep their degree broad, covering a range of business modules and providing a comprehensive understanding of the various aspects of business.

Incoming Stage 1 undergraduates can usually select an Elective in the Spring Trimester. Most continuing undergraduate students can select up to two Elective modules (10 Credits) per stage. There is also the possibility to take up to 10 extra Elective credits.

In the second year you will have the opportunity to study abroad at one of our partner business schools – this popular and competitive aspect to your studies is an optional activity that will add value to your degree. Studying abroad as part of your degree is highly valued by employers as well as the experience of a lifetime. The Quinn School currently have partner universities in Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, China, Canada and across Europe.

 



During your second year in the BSc Business, you are invited to apply for a place on the Quinn Internship Programme – This year long (9-12 month) placement in an Irish or multinational company is an opportunity to put the theory of what is taught in the classroom into practice and gain valuable experience in a working environment. The year-long paid industry internship takes place after stage two and will extend the degree to a four-year degree.
