Are you concerned about injustice in society and interested in acquiring the skills and knowledge that will enable you to advocate change and to tackle social inequality? This course (the first of its kind in Ireland) is designed to allow you to acquire a highly respected law degree, whilst also gaining a detailed understanding of the social justice issues that are intended to be addressed by the legal system. On completion, youll be uniquely equipped to offer a critical perspective on issues such as the adequacy of our criminal justice system, our family court structure and our industrial relations frameworks.

Clinical Legal Education Centre (CLEC) modules are also available, including Advocacy & Mooting, Alternative Dispute Resolution and The Lawyer, Professional Ethics & Legal Practice.Throughout the four years of the degree, you'll participate in a specially designed Law and Social Justice Seminar. You may get involved in UCD's Student Legal Service which offers legal information clinics to students.
