This course allows you to obtain a highly respected degree in Irish law, whilst simultaneously acquiring a broad knowledge of economics. Certain areas of law (e.g. competition, regulation and intellectual property) are heavily influenced by economic theory. BCL (Law with Economics) graduates are uniquely equipped to understand these regulatory frameworks in all of their conceptual complexity. On this degree, you will embark on a field of cross-disciplinary study which is intellectually very demanding, but also enriching and of practical importance.

You may apply to study abroad for either a semester or a year through the Erasmus programme or on a non-EU exchange. UCD has over 200 Erasmus partners in Europe and an increasing number of non-EU exchange agreements with universities in the USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and elsewhere.
