Long Description:	This scholarship is named in memory of Thomas Callaghan, a graduate in Classics of the University. The scholarship of up to €3,810 will be awarded to a student who has demonstrated outstanding performance in Greek (Major or Joint Major) or Latin (Major or Joint Major) at Stages 1 and 2. The award will be paid annually in two phases: 1. In January, the first half will be awarded on the basis of outstanding performance at Stage 1 and in the first semester of Stage 2. 2. In July, the same candidate will be eligible for the second half on the basis of outstanding performance in the second semester of Stage 2. If there are two candidates judged to be ex aequo, the award may be divided or apportioned if there is a second candidate who is very close.
