Long Description:	The Thomas O’Hanlon Memorial Award in Veterinary Medicine is to be established in 2012 as a bursary so that the contribution of Thomas O’Hanlon to both veterinary medicine and scholarship will live on among future generations of students of Veterinary Medicine. Students registered to the veterinary medicine degree programme in UCD are eligible to compete for The Thomas O’Hanlon Memorial Award in Veterinary Medicine according to the following criteria: A bursary of €1,000 will be awarded to a student in the Veterinary Medicine Programme who wishes to complete a research project during the summer vacation following their 1st, 2nd or 3rd Year of study, and who submits a proposal in collaboration with an academic supervisor either in UCD or in another research body
