Long Description:	This medal is being established in honour of distinguished UCD alumna, Dr Mary Farrell (UCD Medicine 1916, MD 1921, MAO 1922, DPH 1924) and with the generous support of her family. The award recognises the importance of excellence in the practice of General Practice. Primary care and general practice are increasingly important subject areas with many of our graduates pursuing careers in this area globally.
