The award was established in memory of Paul Mulhere, a member of staff in the former Faculty of Agriculture who died following an injury sustained during a hurling game at Croke Park in November 1985. The award, which comprises a silver medal and a monetary prize of €200, is presented annually to the Stage Three BAgrSc Animal and Crop Production student who achieves a Distinction grade in the Professional Work Experience module and who, in the opinion of the examiners, achieves the most outstanding performance while on PWE. |
