Programme Description:
Long Description: Established to commemorate the Right Reverend Monsignor Molloy, Professor of Physics, in the Catholic University of Ireland from 1874 to 1906.
1. A sum out of the annual income of the Molloy Bequest Fund is devoted to providing prizes in Physics and Chemistry for Catholic Medical students registered in the Medical School of the University.
2. Subject to any variation in the income from the fund, the number of prizes offered in each year is two.
3. One Molloy medal in Physics and one in Chemistry are awarded annually at the end of Stage One of the Medicine Degree Programme.
4. The balance of the annual income from the Molloy Bequest Fund is applied to the maintenance and extension of the Molloy Collection of Physics Apparatus.
