Long Description:	This award has been established from a fund donated by Mrs Mary Kirwan in memory of her husband, Lt. Col. E.W. O'G. Kirwan, one of the first medical graduates of the University. The medal will be awarded on the results of the Ophthalmology component of the Stage 4 Module UEM and Stage 2 GEM, Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology. A candidate must receive an award of honours to be eligible for the medal and prize.
