Title: FBD Trust Health and Safety Award
Award Type: Award
Programme Description:
Long Description: All Stage 2 students currently registered to an undergraduate degree in the School of Agriculture and Food Science must undertake the module entitled Health, Welfare & Safety in Agriculture (RDEV20140). The module objectives of developing greater awareness and knowledge of health and safety issues related to agriculture, the food industry and associated areas lends itself well to FBD’s commitment to promoting health and safety in agriculture.
The FBD Trust, a charitable entity which provides funding for education, has recently funded the new position of FBD Lecturer in Farm Health & Safety in the UCD School of Agriculture & Food Science. The FBD Trust now wishes to award a number of students on an annual basis to champion health and safety in agriculture, food and nutrition, and to demonstrate best practice and strive for excellence in this area.
Students who receive this award must agree to champion Health and Safety for the following year until the next awards are granted.
