Long Description: | This prize was established in memory of Fr Ciaran Ryan, a leading authority on weak interactions of elementary particles, who taught Theoretical Physics in UCD until his death in a climbing accident in 1973. The prize (currently a book token valued €260) is awarded to the candidate who obtains First Class Honours (3.68 GPA or higher) in Stage 3 modules in Applied & Computational Mathematics and who obtains the highest average mark in five core Applied & Computational Mathematics modules within the 3rd academic year. |
