Long Description:	His research area was in atmospheric chemistry and he made many important advances in determining the mechanisms of O3 depletion and atmospheric hydrocarbon oxidations. He was part of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007. Prof Sidebottom passed away in May 2016.
