Long Description:	The O'Raifeartaigh medal and prize is awarded to the student who obtains 1st class honours and first place in class in the Theoretical Physics BSc (Hons) degree programme. The medal and prize are named in honour of the late Prof. Lochlainn O'Raifeartaigh, who graduated from UCD in Mathematical Physics in the 1950's and went on to have a hugely distinguished career in theoretical physics, acknowledged, for example, by the award of the Wigner medal. The value of the prize is €150.
