Long Description:	This medal is awarded annually by UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science to the candidate with the highest GPA upon graduation from the B.Sc. (Honours) Degree programme in Microbiology, provided this person also has also acheived first class honours. The award is funded by the former registrar Dr. Caroline Hussey who donated funds in trust for this purpose. The award will consist of a medal, a certificate and a small sum of money if funds allow.
