Long Description:	The medal commemorates the life and contribution of Dr Franz Geiselbrechtinger, a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science (1979-2009). It was established by colleagues in tribute to his enthusiasm in researching and teaching formal methods underpinning Computer Science, especially Software Design. The Medal is to be awarded each year to the student in the School of Computer Science and Informatics submitting the best final year project on a theoretical topic in Computer Science achieving an A- grade or better.
