Long Description: Eli Lilly is a global pharmaceutical company that serves patients in the areas of diabetes, immunology and oncology. They have significant operations in Cork employing almost 2000 people directly. Eli Lilly is committed to supporting the education and training of the next generation of engineers to support the rapidly growing biopharmaceutical manufacturing area. There is a
long-standing relationship between Eli Lilly and the UCD School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering with many of our graduates completing internships and taking up employment with the company.
Eli Lilly wishes to sponsor an award to recognise excellence in the ME CBE research project. Each research project seeks to answer a question or explore a hypothesis relevant to the area of chemical and bioprocess engineering, helping students develop a range of extremely valuable skills that they will continuously employ during their future careers. Any student undertaking CHEN40590 ME CBE Research Project will be eligible for consideration.
Each year, the author of the best ME research project will be awarded a medal and a cash prize of €500.
