On completion of this module students should be able to:
1. Demonstrate an understanding of key characteristics of projects as well as the knowledge and concepts that are relevant for management of projects over their life-cycle.
2. Be able to apply variety of project management tools, practices, and frameworks to solve complex practical management challenges encountered in the project context.
3. Analyse, compare, and contrast alternative courses of action in management of projects and project-based organizations
4. Appreciate the myriad skills required of an effective Project Manager.
5. Demonstrate skills of critical thinking as well as high level of communications skills and team work skills.
This module introduces students from any discipline to the project management life-cycle, with a focus on innovation- and technology-driven industries. By the end of this module you will understand and be able to execute the key activities required to ensure that a project is initiated, planned, managed and implemented successfully. You will be also become familiar with various project management tools and techniques that are relevant to commercial projects and their applications.
