SBUS46110 MBA LEAP

Academic Year 2023/2024

The Leadership and Employability Advancement Programme (LEAP) module is designed to provide a structured and integrated approach to career and leadership development for MBA students. The module is intended to improve readiness for the employment market though participation in a series of seminars, masterclasses, workshops, guest lectures, field trips, and an assessment centre. The module is underpinned by the MBA LEAP Employability Framework focused on six behavioral competences measured across four levels. The competences include adaptability; communication and influencing; critical thinking and innovation; inclusive leadership; teamwork and collaboration; and results delivery. Using a combination of psychometric instruments, follow-up coaching, and participation in leadership development activities, the module aims to better equip students with the self-awareness to make career-related decisions. The module comprises a planned set of activities and initiatives that span the entire programme of study. Active engagement in all module activities is mandatory.
