This module is a strategic-level module in planning and implementing Digital Business ventures, covering topics ranging from business planning techniques to digital marketing and social media. Case studies are used throughout the module to present the strengths and weaknesses of various projects. Consideration is given to the changing technological and commercial environment, including new developments in mobile commerce, with a view to proposing and assessing both innovative and sustainable business opportunities helping organisations to gain and sustain competitive advantage.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this module the student should be able to:

a) Present an organised planning approach to the development and exploitation of a Digital Business opportunity.
b) Develop a comprehensive business plan for Digital Business idea to address product development, sales and marketing, implementation and financial operation
c) Evaluate and discuss current and emerging Digital Business technologies and applications with particular focus on electronic marketing, social media and mobile commerce
