The rigorous design and conduct of biomedical research is more important than ever before. It is essential that appropriate quantitative skills are available to researchers; from Principal Investigators, to PhD students.
Drawing on extensive faculty experience in Public Health, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, we are pleased to offer a Professional Certificate in Epidemiology and Biostatistics (15 ECTS) comprising 3 modules with a focus on data management, computational skills, study design and introductory biostatistics.

Incoming Stage 1 undergraduates can usually select an Elective in the Spring Trimester. Most continuing undergraduate students can select up to two Elective modules (10 Credits) per stage. There is also the possibility to take up to 10 extra Elective credits.

- Applicants to the programme should hold an Irish level 8 qualification (Higher Diploma or Higher Degree with an award of 2.2 or above) or international equivalent from a recognised third level institution.
- Applicants must supply transcripts of their primary degree or higher diploma and all supporting documentation overleaf at the time of application. This includes an up-to-date 2 page CV.
- Applicants whose first language is not English must also demonstrate English language proficiency of IELTs 7.0 (no band less than 6.5 in each element), or equivalent.
- Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
