The Diploma in Management Excellence represents a transformational learning experience that includes the exploration of best management practices across a range of disciplines. It has been designed to equip executives with skills needed to turn managers into leaders.  The programme is designed specifically for managers and functional specialists who have a minimum of 5 years work experience.  It provides experienced managers with an integrated perspective of their organisation’s functional capabilities, augmented by insights into their individual values, capabilities and leadership styles.  The programme is aimed at high-potential mid-level managers ready to move into senior management; experienced functional or technical specialists currently in transition to general management; general managers, country managers or business unit heads; and managers of large/complex projects across teams, functions or borders (Purposes).  With a focus on professional and personal development within and beyond the classroom, we value interactive and collaborative learning and a diverse and engaged classroom.  We strive to graduate informed, agile, critical thinkers and doers, with a capacity to cope with complexity and uncertainty (Values).  We aim to provide a learning environment that encourages participants to actively draw on their own workplace experiences and the collective experiences of their fellow participants, so they can develop their own and others leadership and management skills.  Seminars, workshops, discussion forums and opportunities for experiential learning are key elements in the programme’s design (Nature of the learning environment).  Anchored by an intensive process of self-assessment and a personalised reflection and action plan, participants will develop the necessary analytical and strategic skills to drive performance. The modules employ range of engaging methods, including case studies, self-assessments, small group discussions, and personal action planning.
