Approaches to Teaching and Learning:

This module will be delivered face-to-face through two lectures, seminars, or workshops per week. Students will be expected to read and watch set scenes from the texts and films ahead of class, to prepare questions or read secondary sources for seminars, and to participate actively in discussions. The summative assessment has three components: a film review (25%), a final essay (50%) and a series of questionnaires about the films in the program (15%). Formative work and activities will be set as practice for these assessments, with feedback provided by the module coordinator.

Students may not use generative AI to complete any assessments in the module. However, they may use AI tools for limited support (e.g. idea generation, practice questions, or as a study aid). They remain fully responsible for the accuracy and reliability of their learning.

How will my Feedback be Delivered?

Individual feedback will be provided on each assessment and published on Brightspace. Students will be able to have extra feedback in person via appointment with module coordinator. Ongoing feedback will be provided in class on group activities and discussions.
