Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
- Write and read texts on topics related to the cultures of Spain and Latin America;
- Use a good range of vocabulary to express themselves with accuracy in written texts and in oral interaction on topics related to Hispanic culture;
- Demonstrate a reasonable degree of grammatical control, accuracy and sentence structures in written and spoken language, in particular using the present subjunctive;
- Employ sufficient communication skills to speak about a topic related to Hispanic culture in a natural dialogue;
- Express personal opinions about information arising from authentic materials (aural or written).

This module is divided into five units which introduce learners to the cultural diversity of Spanish speaking countries integrating grammar, written, audio & oral activities in Spanish.
The specifically grammar-based contents include regular and irregular verb conjugations in the Imperative and the uses of the Subjunctive.
