Students successfully completing the module will:

1. Demonstrate familiarity with theoretical debates and the key challenges facing contemporary societies.
2. Use comparative perspectives to analyse a selected topic related to global problems and analyse them from the Academic, Activist, Business and Policy perspective - showing the application of the AABP model.
3. Display competence in using and interpreting social and political data from a range of national and international sources.
4. Demonstrate awareness of the historical and cultural context implications in analysing social problems and global solutions.
5. Enhance their analytical skills, argumentation, critical thinking, and ethical approach towards sensitive issues.

Exploring Global Solutions module will cover the following topics:

1. Relation between problem-based and solution-based approaches to social change on the global and local scale;
2. Introduction to AABP (academic-activist-business-policy) approach;
3. Cases studies in global solutions:
*Scientific innovations
*Business models
*Problem-driven policies and structural reforms
*People-based social change
4. Designing student project.
