The course introduces students to entrepreneurship and enterprise development as well as fundamental entrepreneurial issues, such as what Enterprise Development is and why it is important. The course then progresses through three main sections: conceiving and developing the business idea; preparation steps towards start-up; operations considerations during the start up. The main objective of the course is to encourage students to ultimately apply their entrepreneurial skills in a practical way, either in an existing business (intrapreneurship); through setting up their own business (entrepreneurship), or through various business support organisations. Course materials including summary lecture notes will be available on Brightspace.
