MALI Core Language module for French intermediate students as per FR20040.
This is a continuation of UG T1 module (FR20020)
Scheduled for T2 (spring) trimester.

In-module repeats of select component elements may be made available during this module for students.
Any in-module repeat is only available to students who have already sat and failed an in-term component; it carries a one-grade penalty; and it does not extend to orals or RDS exams.

Learning Outcomes:

Students should have mastered the same skills as per undergraduate module FR20040.

Students should have worked with their MALI Language Tutor on honing language skills and on preparing an image-centred Presentation.

Indicative Module Content:

See undergraduate module FR20040.

Students will work weekly with their MALI Language Tutor to hone language skills and to prepare a final image-centred Presentation on either film or media relating to the culture of their chosen language, pitched at the relevant language level studied.

Variety of language-teaching methods used. These may include active/task-based learning; peer and group work; lectures; critical writing; reflective learning; individual work with MALI tutor; enquiry & problem-based learning; student presentations, etc.

How will my Feedback be Delivered?

Students are followed closely by their Language Tutor for 10 sessions during the trimester and will receive regular individual feedback on progress. Students will also receive feedback on language work completed within the framework of their classroom language work.
