Academic Year 2022/2023

This module applies sport management knowledge and skills to small and medium sized sports clubs. Issues such as the development of club policies, procedures and their implementation will be explored. Important strategic issues such as effective planning, staffing and finance will complement topics such as leadership, planning, communication and motivation. Students will be exposed to practical hands on examples of formulating digital marketing strategies, player development frameworks and health and safety plans.
The assessment will be based on continuous assessment where students apply their learning the development of strategies, policies and plans for real clubs.
