This module is designed to equip participants with the essential leadership knowledge and skills needed to drive organisational success and motivate their teams to perform at their best. The module begins by exploring leadership as it relates to today's work environment, the role of a leader in modern organisations, examining the qualities that make a successful leader, and the different leadership styles that can be employed to achieve specific outcomes. Participants will also learn how to develop a leadership style that aligns with their personal values and organisational objectives. Participants will be encouraged to reflect on their own leadership practices, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies for enhancing their leadership capabilities.

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
The module has a detailed study guide. Students are required to complete the module pre-reading or pre-work prior to attending the seminar sessions. The sessions themselves will be a combination of lectures, group discussion, in-class presentations, case study discussions and classroom exercises. A heavy emphasis in the seminars is on teasing out the implications of theory for practical application in a workplace context
