At the end of the MBA Programme, the capstone project gives participants the chance to broaden their horizons and put into practice the theoretical learning they have acquired. In practice, challenges rarely confine themselves to one functional area but often transcend several parts of the organisation. Therefore, successful managers must be able to tackle complex problems by blending knowledge and skills from the different functional areas. The Capstone Project is, therefore, intended to bring together elements from the entire MBA experience in one final challenge.

Before the project start date, participants will engage in various workshops to support the project process, such as Research Methods and Consulting Skills.

The projects take place in Spring and Summer. They can be undertaken individually or in groups; however, we encourage participants to work in groups of 3-4. The projects must result in a final written report, which will be submitted to the Programme Office by the agreed-upon deadline.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

The Capstone Project is designed to enable participants to:
●Conduct a comprehensive analysis encompassing the diverse elements of the MBA Programme.
●Explain current theory and practice underpinning business operations, management and strategy in the global and local environment.
●Evaluate different research methodology approaches and identify the most suitable approach based on the project requirements.
●Select and evaluate appropriate information sources to inform effective business planning and decision-making.
●Demonstrate skills developed during the LEAP programme and display enhanced behavioural competency levels: Adaptability, Communication & Influencing, Critical Thinking & Innovation, Inclusive Leadership, Results Delivery and Teamwork & Collaboration.
●Recommend appropriate conclusions and implications for practice based on the analysis.
