SBUS46120 Executive LEAP

Academic Year 2024/2025

The Leadership and Employability Advancement Programme (LEAP) module is designed to provide a structured and integrated approach to career and leadership development for EMBA students. The module is intended to improve readiness for career advancement though participation in a series of seminars, masterclasses, workshops, guest lectures, field trips, and an assessment centre. The module is underpinned by the MBA LEAP Employability Framework focused on six behavioral competences measured across four levels. The competences include adaptability; communication and influencing; critical thinking and innovation; inclusive leadership; teamwork and collaboration; and results delivery. Using a combination of psychometric instruments, follow-up coaching, and participation in leadership development activities, the module aims to better equip students with the self-awareness to make career-related decisions, whether advancement within their existing roles/organisation or entry into new roles/organisations. The module comprises a planned set of activities and initiatives that span the entire programme of study. Active engagement in all module activities is mandatory.
