Learning Outcomes:

On completion of the module students will be able to demonstrate:A critical understanding of the primary traditions and contemporary approaches to coaching psychologyA critical understanding of a range of key theories and concepts of coaching psychology A critical understanding of the significance of particular approaches to particular situations and client needs. An understanding of the differences between coaching and other forms of intervention and when referral may be necessary

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
The module has a detailed study guide. Students are required to complete the module pre-reading or pre-work prior to attending the seminar sessions. The sessions themselves will be a combination of lectures, group discussion, in-class presentations, case study discussions and classroom exercises. A heavy emphasis in the seminars is on teasing out the implications of theory for practical application in a workplace context.
