SBUS30280 Business Internship Summer

Academic Year 2022/2023

The aim of this module is to provide students with the opportunity to develop their personal and professional skills and to gain an understanding of how theory presented in modules translates to practice. Students in Commerce International will have the option to apply to complete the Business Internship Summer module which will include an internship opportunity of 6-12 weeks duration. The internship is self-sourced and must be approved by the Quinn School in advance of commencing (May deadline).

Assessment will take place on completion of the internship and combines submission of a required report (September) and a set of Debrief and Skill Share activities across the first four weeks of Autumn term.

Class will meet formally on Friday Week 1 to collaborate on skillshare arrangements.

The module will be assessed on a Pass / Fail / Distinction basis and will be assigned to Stage 4 (Autumn Trimester). Successful completion will result in a pass / distinction grade which will be grade point neutral.
