Upon successful completion of this module, the student should be able to:
Competently perform a wide range of general and specialised radiographic examinations within the context of professional
guidelines and current legislation.
- Select, justify and optimise appropriate projections and techniques for a range of commonly encountered clinical indications
and patient presentations ensuring appropriate radiation protective measures are applied.
- Adapt technique depending on the patient presentation and clinical environment.
- Accurately evaluate image quality and radiographc outcomes
Demonstration professionalism, effective teamwork and communication in all interactions with patients and clinical staff
- Demonstrate personal ability to care for patients appropriately during all examinations as per clinical policy.
- Critically reflect on their performance and experiences in clinical practice.
Students must complete the following HSELand training by the submission date set:
AMRIC Hand Hygiene
AMRIC Introduction to Infection Prevention & Control and Antimicrobial Resistance
Attendance at the ‘Compulsory Clinical Entry’ lecture is mandatory for this module.
All clinical hours relating to this module must be completed in order for a student to be deemed module complete.
