Knowledge Outcomes:
On successful completion of this module, the student should be able to:
-Competently perform a wide range of general and mobile radiographic examinations.
-Accurately evaluate image quality and radiographic outcomes for a variety of examinations.

-Critically evaluate the utility of imaging examinations to patient management.

-Perform as an effective member of the imaging department team.
-Demonstrate knowledge of the range of modalities within a modern imaging department and their appropriate application to particular pathologies or anatomical areas.

Candidates must normally achieve at least 80% attendance at clinical placements, and must successfully complete relevant specified learning activities before taking the end of module assessment.
Candidates not achieving the requisite attendance stated above must, before completing the module and its assessments, undertake such clinical placement as is considered necessary to address the deficit.
Candidates who do not complete the module placements within the prescribed clinical placement period will be scheduled for Clinical Recovery Placements to facilitate students in the completion of the clinical placement requirements.
The Clinical Recovery Placements will be scheduled in agreement with supervising Practice Tutors within the clinical environment, which may involve clinical placement during the summer months. Progression to the next stage is not normally allowed if the clinical modules identified in each stage of the programme are not completed prior to the start of the next academic session.
Students who fail to attend or fail to achieve a pass in either Basic Life Support or Manual Handling will have to re-take these components and reach a pass before entering Clinical Placement.Students who fail to attend coursework plenary sessions may receive a grade penalty for the associated coursework component, and may be required to undertake an individual discussion session with the module coordinator
