Curricular information is subject to change.

RDGY20260 addresses the fundamentals of imaging informatics, digital imaging workflow and technology relevant to diagnostic imaging. In addition to developing a knowledge base in the subject of Digital Information & Healthcare Information and Communication Technology (ICT), each student will gain skill in using an enterprise level RIS/PACS system. The importance of system security in a medical setting, and the impact of digital systems on the patient care pathway will be addressed and practical skills labs covering the entire patient workflow from a diagnostic imaging perspective. A particular emphasis will be placed on the ongoing transformation of radiology informatics with artificial intelligence (AI) and associated challenges. Data protection best practice in a clinical setting will also be explored. These activities will be driven through didactic lectures, online learning and lab sessions.

About this Module
