This module introduces students to the operation of a clinical diagnostic imaging department, the care of different patient groups, radiographic image appraisal and clinical decision making in diagnostic imaging. This is achieved through clinical placement and incorporating learning from clinical practice of radiography modules into practice. The practical application of theory in a clinical setting affords students the opportunity to begin to undertake radiographic examinations of patients, under close supervision by clinical staff.
