Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
Students will be taught the following;
Good study design
Research and Ethics (IRB) approval
Planning the thesis literature research, examination of existing evidence base in chosen area of study, patient sample collection, analytical work
Collation of good laboratory recordings and notes
Write up of methods
Collation of patient/sample database and insure that all information is available to interpret study results
The application of statistics is part of this module

How will my Feedback be Delivered?

Each student is required to submit a dissertation of 10,000 words (plus / minus 10%). Individual feedback will be provided by a member of the thesis examination committee. The student's thesis supervisor will provide ongoing feedback during the analytical and composition phases of the thesis.
