On completion of this module students should be able to:- Demonstrate an understanding of the physiological mechanisms of respiration and respiratory control.- Explain co-ordinated responses of the respiratory system to changes in arterial blood gases and pH.- Explain the respiratory changes observed in response to chronic hypoxia.- Describe the respiratory control system in response to changes in oxygen supply and demand.- Understand how Pulmonary Function can be clinically assessed.
