The student will be capable of independently studying original research literature and using this as a background for pursuing their own research under the guidance of their supervisor. They will be able to present their research findings as a written report and through a presentation to a general physics audience.

Feedback is given continually by the project supervisor at regular face-to-face meetings. Feedback will be provided by the project supervisor or module coordinator after the the final presentation in April. The opportunity for feedback from the supervisor on a draft of the thesis should be available, provided the draft is supplied in good time before the final deadline. Feedback on the final thesis post-grading is available upon request.
