Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this module students should be able to:
1. Demonstrate an understanding of human physiology in relation to exercise
2. Measure and interpret a range of physiological parameters relating to exercise, sport and health.
3. Relate the basics of exercise physiology to different exercising populations, modes of exercise and exercise environments
4. Apply exercise physiology theory, through reflective writing, relating it to their own experiential exercise learning and the module's pre exercise testing workshops.
5. Engage appropriately with research relevant to above learning outcomes.
Indicative Module Content:
A systems approach to the the responses of the metabolic, cardiovascular, rep0iratory, neurological, hormonal, thermoregulatory and muscular systems to exercise. Practical application of theory through measuring some key physiological parameters related to exercise, sport and health.
