PHAR40350 Biotherapeutics Case Study

Academic Year 2021/2022

This module requires students to perform case studies of a biotherapeutic innovations, therapeutic compounds, or services using the scientific literature and online or other sources. Three workshops will take place focusing on:
1. Creative Thinking in Science
2. Critical Thinking in Science
3. Presenting your Ideas
followed by sessions where Groups present short Case Studies.
A final case study report in the form of
a) a newspaper article or blog entry
b) report to an Investor Board, or
c) application to a funding agency
is submitted to complete the module

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this module students will be able to independently research a technique, compound or innovation and provide a written assessment of the importance, potential and practical aspects of developing and applying the technique/compound/innovation.
