This module examines aspects of safety technology that ensures the provision of a safe place of work and the development of safe systems of work, and includes relevant emergency response systems in the workplace.

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of this module students will be able to:

Use an evidence base to plan and devise systems to ensure the safe management of technology and high risk activities and facilities in the workplace, particularly fire and emergency situations, and hazards and risks associated with construction, machinery and electricity.

The learning outcomes of this module are consistent with achieving the objectives of SDG 3 Good Health and SDG 8 Decent Work from an occupational health and wellbeing perspective.
