NMHS42430 Clinical Practicum Diabetes Care

Academic Year 2023/2024

This module enables the student to apply their knowledge, skills and understanding of specialist diabetes theory to patient care, and will require the participant to demonstrate competence within their area of specialist practice. Leadership, Quality and Patient Safety (QPS) in the context of diabetes care transcends this module. This module aims to provide the student with a comprehensive theoretical background to facilitate the delivery of holistic and evidence based diabetes care.
Repeat assessment on this module means that the student will have one opportunity to undertake the module after the first fail grade has been submitted to the PEB. The timeframe for the repeat assessment will be a one trimester clinical placement in the trimester following the original trimester offering.
