This module completes the supernumerary clinical placements and prepares the student for internship. The primary focus is to ensure that the student possesses the requisite skills to progress to internship in Stage 4.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this module students should be able to demonstrate the ongoing development of competence in the following domains:
1 - Professional values and conduct of nurse competences /knowledge and appreciation of the virtues of caring, compassion, integrity, honesty, respect and empathy as a basis of nursing
2 - Nursing practice and clinical decision-making competences including understanding and knowledge of the principles of safe, effective and person-centred care delivery based on partnership
3 - Knowledge and cognitive competences including life, behavioural and health sciences
4 - Communication and Interpersonal competences
5 - Management and team competences
6 - Leadership and professional scholarship competencies including self-directed learning skills, critical questioning /reasoning and maintaining competency
