This module will build on students’ knowledge of research and evidence development; and incorporation into practice by offering a more in-depth and robust approach to evidence-based practice and evidence literacy.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Construct a robust clinical research question
2. Carry out a preliminary literature search using UCD library resources
3. Critically appraise a piece of primary research, considering its applicability to their practice as a nurse or midwife.
4. Evaluate the role of evidence-based practice to the professions of Nursing and Midwifery
