On successful completion of this module students should be able to act as a member of the care team and work towards the development of competence in the following domains of competence and:

Display nursing practice and clinical decision-making competences including understanding and knowledge of the principles of safe, effective and person-centred care delivery based on partnership
Demonstrate knowledge and cognitive competences across all 6 NMBI domains including life, behavioural and health sciences, across the health continuum and with respect for and an awareness of cultural diversity, ethnicity and individual preferences and needs
Apply in practice: communication and interpersonal competences
Demonstrate management and team competences
Display Leadership and professional scholarship competencies including self-directed learning skills, critical questioning /reasoning and maintaining competency

Students will be provided with opportunities to engage in patient care with increasing responsibility under the supervision of a registered nurse. Students will partake in nursing care as members of the care team with opportunities to apply the skills of critical analysis, problem solving, decision making, and reflection commensurate with this level of training. The credit load of this module reflects the student effort hours required to achieve the learning outcomes.
The student must pass 4B Internship clinical placement before progressing to 4C Internship. Students must complete all Stage 4 clinical hours before status is ‘degree complete’.
Students must complete all Stage 4 clinical hours before reading degree complete.
