The deadline for receipt of videos is Friday 17th of September at 11am - late applications will not be accepted. **

The Philharmonic Choir offers students an opportunity to become familiar with the choral repertoire while developing their musicianship skills and analysing repertoire through practical engagement with same.

Assessment will consist of a participation grade, (30%), based on students' participation in rehearsals; an individual video assignment (40%) and the final group performance (30%)

Learning Outcomes:

Students who participate successfully in the choir will achieve the following objectives:

- Improve sight-reading and musicianship skills
- Develop their vocal technique
- Learn a variety of choral music to a high standard
- Gain an understanding of choral music.
- Broaden knowledge of the choral repertoire.

Indicative Module Content:

Progressive weekly rehearsals in which students will work on selected repertoire.

The development of musicianship skills and vocal technique will be incrementally integrated into work on the repertoire, as appropriate, as well as being explored through bespoke activities.
