The UCD Symphony Orchestra rehearses and performs works from the standard classical repertoire alongside more challenging works from the 20th century. Concerts with soloists are also frequently featured. Weekly rehearsals are followed by a week of intensive preparation and the results are presented in a minimum of two annual public concerts. Participation is through application and audition ONLY; registration alone does not guarantee a place in the orchestra. Students who are interested in taking this module should email orchestra@ucd.ie in order to apply for an audition at the beginning of the semester.
