Today’s managers are faced with the challenge crafting and implementing timely and accurate strategic decisions. In doing so, it is essential that managers make optimal use Digital Business applications for data collection, analysis, and decision making.

This applied module investigates and discusses strategic decision making utilising Digital Business applications. Combining industry standard data collection and analytics tools, students will gain important insights into sectors, industries and companies in order to draft strategic investment ideas and recommendations.

Students will complete an online business simulation helping a large company to retain competitive advantage in the marketplace.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On successful completion of the module, students should be able to

(i) Demonstrate a deep understanding of key issues surrounding strategic management decision making.

(ii) Evaluate and discuss organisations’ market performance

(iii) Understand the manager's role in data interpretation and business recommendation formulation utilising an online business simulation.
