Upon completion of the module, the student will be able to:
Demonstrate an appreciation of the eight domains of good professional practice and attitudes and behaviours that are consistent with professional practice.
Identify how different elements of the healthcare system should best collaborate to optimise patient outcomes
Perform core clinical skills
Take a patient history and demonstrate appropriate communication skills for patient-centered consultation.
The indicative module content is informed by the Irish Medical Council’s ‘Eight Domains of Good Professional Practice’, i.e.:
